These elastic corsets are both from True Grace Corsets (TGC). They are elastic above and below the waist. At the waist there is a rigid band which produces the necessary pressure to form the waist.

My longest and tightest corset. It is from True Grace Corsets (TCG) and can be laced to a waistline of 17 inches. It covers the bust, therefore I don’t need a bra here. This is especially useful with light summer dresses or evening dresses which don’t cover the shoulders. Believe it or not, there is no retouching as with all other pictures in this site!

I had an elastic corset from Michael Garrod with a minimum laced waistline of 17 inch. An elastic corset is not very durable. After one to two years the rubber material will be worn out and thus will no longer be suitable to form the body.

For a broad acceptance of the corset in our time, it’s especially important that ladies can wear usual and everyday clothes with their corsets on. In the following I will present some suggestions how to wear corsets under normal clothes. The series of examples is to be continued.
